Bubba Stahl
Bubba Stahl was raised in a Christian home and was saved in San Antonio, Texas at Trinity Baptist Church when he was seven years old. He and Beth married in 1972. Bubba and Beth lived and worked on several large ranches for the next ten years. In August, 1982, God called Bubba into the ministry. With their two sons, Ben and Dan, they moved to Abilene to enroll in Hardin-Simmons University. Ben and Dan are now both medical doctors with families of their own. Bubba graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 1984 with a degree in Bible and Spanish; then from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1988 with a Master of Divinity degree, then in 2000 with a Doctor of Ministry degree. He did his doctoral work in Uganda, East Africa, with village pastors. Beth and Bubba formed a non-profit ministry called Salt Block Ministries from the sales of their book, Salt Block; Heartwarming Stories from a Cowboy Preacher, available on amazon.com. The purpose of Salt Block Ministries is to equip indigenous pastors, teachers, doctors, and nurses in Uganda and other develping nations. The web site is www.saltblock.org.
