A Christmas Day Prayer and Blessing Formed From Psalm 115

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory. All glory, honor, and praise be unto our God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; we praise you on this Christmas morning. Before anything was created, you saw this day and rejoiced. This is the day that you have made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Father, you have sent us your son, Jesus Christ, to save us from our sins, to rule our lives with love and power over sin so that we might have a perfect and eternal relationship of joy with you in him. Thank you, Father, for the indescribable gift of your son this Christmas morning.
Holy Spirit, you spoke of this day long ago through prophets that Christ would be born and that your kingdom would be upon his shoulders. His name would be Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace; Immanuel, God with us. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for the indescribable gift of Immanuel this Christmas morning.
Lord Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living God, we bless you. All glory and praise to the Lamb who was slain, who has borne all our sins and has cleanses every stain. Hallelujah, to you be all the glory, now and forever. You were born to give your life for us in order to give your life to us so that we might glorify God forever. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the indescribable gift of your life for us, to us, with us, and through us for your glory and our joy. Glory to God and the Lamb forever!
Open the eyes of unbelievers on this Christmas Day in order that they may know you and see the deadness of the work of their hands and turn to the life found only in you. Lord Jesus, visit each home with your love, with your power, with your holy life.

May the blessing Christ be unwrapped and received all over the world today, I pray in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. AMEN.
